Andy is wondering, "What flavor shall I get for today's lunch?" Maybe you can help him decide with your recommendation!
American artist and pop icon Andy Warhol has long been tied to the Campbell Soup Company for the series of pop art silkscreens he did during the 1960s and 1970s. You must be wondering, why did he choose the Campbell Soup cans as one of his subjects? Warhol once said in an Art News interview in 1963, “I used to drink it. I used to have the same lunch every day, for twenty years. I guess, the same thing over and over again.”
In the photo above from 1965, he seems to be mulling over which Campbell’s Soup flavor to get while grocery shopping in Gristeade’s supermarket near The Factory. What would you recommend?
