That’s one small step for mozzarella, one giant leap for pizza.
It’s a bit refreshing to see a photo of Armstrong that doesn’t show him in a suit in the moon or in space, isn’t it?
The photo above was taken by Ralph Morse, a photographer for LIFE Magazine, and chronicler of the Apollo 11 crew’s life and journey towards their historic July 1969 lunar mission.
“They all started out as pilots, of course,” Morse said of Lunar Module pilot Buzz Aldrin, Command Module pilot Michael Collins and mission commander Neil Armstrong, “and they decided that they wanted to do something better, something more exciting.
