Analogue Day Activity: Go Stargazing

If you think that it’s a bit of a hassle to go all the way to the country side just to see dots in the sky, then you might want to think about that again.

If you live in the city, this may be a difficult or almost impossible to do thanks to the artificial lights surrounding you. But then again, consider this as an opportunity to take a break from the hustle and bustle and noise of civilization. Find the time to get away.

It doesn’t matter if you know how to point out the multiple constellations that man has already drawn on the sky, you can always make an entirely new image and story on your own.

If you’re familiar with Stephen Chbosky’s coming-of-age novel, The Perks of Being a Wallflower (or even its recent film version), then you might be all too-familiar with this line:

“And in that moment, I swear we were infinite.”

As overrated as that line is, it is exactly how you can describe the feeling of lying under the stars and seeing the overwhelming expanse of the night sky above you. Feel the earth move. Connect yourself to the surroundings. Imagine being one with the universe.

How do you make your life a little bit more analogue with each day’s passing? Aside from these Analogue Day Activities we’ve been sharing, why don’t you inspire your fellow lomographers as we inch closer to the worldwide Film Photography Day celebrations and share with us your own stories? Remember, you can also schedule your own meet-ups for the big event, show your analogue life through an awesome video, and profess your love for all things analogue with some of your best snaps!
