Analogue Day Activity: Repurpose, Recycle Or Upcycle Something

In celebration of all things analogue, consider this fun offline endeavor today: be creative and innovative as well as clean and green by repurposing, recycling, or upcycling old items into usable things!

There are countless good reasons why you should repurpose your old things so that they are useful in your current life. For one, it’s practical as a money-saving project as well as for redecorating or refurbishing. Second, you’re doing your part for the environment by not encouraging the production of more junk on earth. Thirdly, this gives you a chance to be experimental by exploring new uses for old items.

Vintage household items just lying around are usually the focal point of a DIY project. Found objects are turned into statement pieces, dated furniture are reworked to freshen up their look, and collector’s goods become ingeniously displayed decor. Here are some awesome ideas to inspire you:

So on Analogue Day, give your old things a new lease on life by reusing, repurposing, or recycling!

How do you make your life a little bit more analogue with each day’s passing? Aside from these Analogue Day Activities we’ve been sharing, why don’t you inspire your fellow lomographers as we inch closer to the worldwide Film Photography Day celebrations and share with us your own stories? Remember, you can also schedule your own meet-ups for the big event, show your analogue life through an awesome video, and profess your love for all things analogue with some of your best snaps!
