LC-Wide owners (and users), have you tried out the overlapping feature yet? I shot one semi-successful roll of overlapping photos and found it to be a real exciting challenge.
When I finally got my hands on the LC-Wide, I immediately wanted to try its various formats. But, the one format that really got my attention was the overlapping and endless format. Looking at the great endless overlapping panoramic photos on the Lomography website, I really wanted to know if I could get similar results.
Unfortunately, my first roll went terribly wrong. I misread the instructions.
According to Lomography’s instructions, I had to put my “LC-Wide into Half-frame (HF) mode but take the plastic frame out of the film chamber and make sure the lens cover is fully open.”
So on my second try, and at the encouragement of fellow Lomographer kernlose, I had better luck but still not the type of photos that I’ve seen on Lomography’s website.
This time instead of a colour film, I decided to use a roll of cheap black and white film. I wanted to process it myself as I knew that by the time I could pop by a 1 hour photo service centre, the photo lab would be closed.
Knowing that I would be walking along a very quaint old estate, which many people would have photographed before, I tried out this feature. Well, sure enough, the results are different. Some of which turned out rather interesting.
But I got carried away and thought that I could also do endless panorama with this setting.
I tried photographing long rows of pre-war shop houses.
To the infamous Thieves’ Market.
And even a basketball court (just for the fun of it all).
Not exactly what I saw on Lomography’s website but nevertheless a great learning experience.
This is one of my many photo projects I do to keep my days analogue. What about you?
