Born to the Purple: Royal Ensembles

A wearer of majestic magenta outfits like most monarchs, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth might fancy our latest film, LomoChrome Purple. It's selling out royally fast so better load up your cart to get the first batch of color negative infrared-like rolls by this June!

Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Diamond Jubilee last June to grandiose festivities truly fit for a long-reigning queen. The blue-blooded head of 16 sovereign states is one of the most recognized modern monarchs, and her monochrome fashion style seems to be popularity points.

The color purple has long been associated with royalty and the wealthy because dyes were made of the most expensive ingredients. From the purple togas powerful Roman emperors donned to the violet garb worn by religious Christian figures during Lent and Advent to the luxurious Elizabethan dresses of the Tudor dynasty, purple is a truly regal color favored by the Queen.

Even the youthful royal couple Prince William, Duke of Cambrdige, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, seem to take a liking to the plush shade!
