Throwback Thursday: A Nikon F5 Commercial

"You're watching a modern day miracle..." A commercial shot in 1997 featuring the Nikon F5.

“…because this film was shot on a camera that only takes stills.”

The Nikon F5 is a 35mm film SLR manufactured by Nikon from 1996 through 2004. It’s the fifth in Nikon’s professional film camera line, and it is the biggest, heaviest, toughest, and fastest of the whole bunch.

Due to it’s speed, it is ideal for shooting news, sports, and action; and with it’s color matrix meter, it is also great for landscape and nature photography.

Here’s a review for the Nikon F5 from a community member, while you can view photos taken with it here.

I use my F5 more and more. I could not part from my beloved pair of F4's. I like the controls of the F4 but the F5 is a great camera for doubles. If you rewind the camera a few frames, it will automacilly align the frames. So your doubles have no overlap (if that is wat you want:) )
