2012 was quite the year for some of us analogue lovers. Luckily for us, we probably captured most of it with our cameras!
Okay confession, I am rather new to the Lomo community. I have been shooting with my Minolta x-700 for years, but I have spent 2012 exploring the great land of analogue through Lomography. You could say it has been a big year as far as my photography accomplishments go—I have added to my camera collection, found somewhere I can send my black and white film off to (nowhere in my town still develops it!), got Lollapalooza photos published in Nashville, and experimented with different films I could not find in town.
Basically, Lomography.com is the website that saved my life. And because of all of this, I have a vast collection of photos from 2012 as proof. My cameras were along for the ride in 2012, I took at least one just about everywhere I went. However, my favorite photos of the year were captured outside of Nashville. This year I got the opportunities to go to two music festivals, LA and Rome, Italy. I also attended dozens of shows around Music City where I took photos for bands. 2012 was a blast and I cannot wait to see what 2013 has in store of me and my camera.
