Christmas has always been an occasion where wonder and cheer are abundant. So it comes as no surprise that a variety of nice characters, and a couple of naughty ones, come out in season! Do you know all of them?
The Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy
The Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Fairy are characters in the well-beloved ballet, The Nutcracker, which is primarily performed during the holiday season. Countless prima ballerinas and danseur noble have brought life to these magical characters living in the Land of Sweets, and it has delighted audiences around the world.
Jack Skellington
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of the more popular alternative choices for a Christmas movie, and why wouldn’t it be? As the Pumpkin King, he might specialize in giving out spooks and horrors, but we can all agree that his wonder and curiosity upon arriving in Christmastown was such a delight to watch.
The Grinch
Who could ever forget that fiend with the creepy smile, who attempted to steal Cindy Lou and the rest of Whoville’s happy Christmas? You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch! Though we are glad that you eventually see the error of your ways.
Ebenezer Scrooge
If there was a character much more unpleasant than the Grinch during the holidays, it would most likely be Ebenezer Scrooge from the classic Charles Dickens novella, A Christmas Carol. Bah, humbag! But thanks to the visits made by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet To Come, he has finally taken a step to turn that holiday frown upside down.

Jack Frost
Jack is a mischievous sprite personified as the character responsible for the frost and cold weather. Most recently, he was depicted (rather handsomely, I might add) in the animated fantasy film, Rise of the Guardians.
Christmas Elves
Painted as “Santa’s Little Helpers”, the Christmas elves are depicted as the ones who assist Santa in his workshop on the North Pole and makes all the toys for the children around the world.

Reindeers
Flying reindeers, to be exact. Just like elves, reindeers have gained a spot in this Christmas list as they help complete Santa’s mission year after year by pulling along his sleigh and flying all over the world. The original lineup consisted of: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. Funny enough, Rudolph, who is arguably the most popular reindeer, is not part of the group and was only added when his eponymous song became widely popular.
Jolly St. Nick / Father Christmas / Santa Claus
But of course. Need I say more?
