About a year ago, after reviewing the film "Amélie," a crazy idea began to flash in my head. I thought, "it would be nice to travel around the world as the dwarf in the film," but I needed to find a way more comfortable and above all, more economical to do this.
Then, with the collaboration of abl, a lomoproject was born. This was maybe craziest project I’ve done. I called it “Everybody hates Goonies,” then I changed it simply to “The Goonies Mask.” For this project I printed my face on paper bags, just the kind of paper bags used for bread.
So, I asked my lomo-friends to help me in this crazy project. I asked them if I could send them “my face” so that they could take pictures with it.
This was my way to travel like the dwarf in the film “Amélie,” but sitting comfortably on the couch in my house.
Many of my lomo-friends were happy to help me. However, initially, my project took off slowly because it was very hard to find the right size of paper bags. So, I was able to send my paper bags after a lot of time. In this project I did not give up, and with the help of zorzyo who printed (and continues to print) my face on the bags, the project finally took off.
Finally with the help of many lomo-friends I started collecting shots of my face around the world.
