Movember with the LGS Toronto & Lomography Canada!

It's Novem - Wait, actually, it's MOVEMBER here at the Lomography Gallery Store Toronto and Lomography Canada! Movember is not just an excuse for guys to grow their staches, but it's a great way to raise funds and awareness for men's health, specifically for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. We've got our Mo's going, what about you, Canada?!

How Movember works is that on the 1st of November, guys register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. Throughout the rest of the month, these “Mo Bros” groom, trim and wax their mustaches however they like. Supported by the women in their lives, otherwise known as “Mo Sistas”, Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.

These Mo Bros and their Mos become like walking billboards, bringing up conversation about the ignored issue of men’s health, through their words and actions. At the end of the month, all the funds raised in Canada go to supporting men’s health issues, specifically for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. For more information on Canada-specific causes, check out Movember’s website.

So, here at the LGS Toronto and Lomography Canada, we thought we would get involved in this great movement and grow our Mos! Throughout the month, the Mo Bros and Mo Sistas of the Canada team will be documenting the progress with our trusty Lomokino and present you a super neat movie by the end of the month. Also, if you happen to come into the LGS Toronto with a mighty cool stache, we’ll be snapping your photo to share with the rest of our community.

To donate to this great cause, check out The LoMos page on the Movember website!
