Lifestyle Feature of the Week

This week's featured Analogue Lifestyle article is "Gold Rush: Autumn on Film" by gelagoo from Winnipeg, Canada. Thwarted by snow and sleet in the past, she finally figured out how to capture the season's warm and windy atmosphere.

I have always been unlucky when it comes to taking photographs during the autumn season. For some reason, my timing is always off and rain (or snow/sleet) beat me all the time. This year I have decided to outdo the changing weather by speed and much enthusiasm. That is, as soon as the green turns to gold, I will go outside and shoot. And shoot photos, I did.

Experimentation, some testing, and a whole lot of gambling goes into the analogue photography process so you know things won’t always turn out the way you’d expect them to. Take that, plus uncontrollable external factors like weather, etc. and shooting definitely becomes more difficult. But we chose this article by community member @gelagoo because, after seasons of wanting to get the perfect golden shots—and trying, she is finally successful in highlighting her hometown in the golden autumn light.
