Yesterday, we shared with you more colorized black & white photos from decades past. Today, we found a collection of photos from Moscow in the 1930's that seem to have been colorized with paint which give us a more vivid view of Russian life back then. What do you think of these tint alterations?

You’ve got the Red Square, the Kremlin, street sweepers, and protesters, all part and parcel of life in 1931 Russia. There’s not much artist info on these images we found on Retronaut, but these colorized vintage photos definitely give a fresh perspective on the way of Soviet life back then.

Find more colour Russian photos... I remember a Russian photo of the Emir of Dagestan(?) from ~1910 from a 3 plate negative. I think Russians may have invented colour photography.
