My Childhood in Analogue

A sneak peek into my childhood via old photos taken by my beloved mother. My mum and dad believed that my sisters and I were the most adorable things in the world and like all parents who love their children, they took endless amount of photos and videos.

From when we were born, photos recorded our everyday lives. But I have to admit, my mum overdid her role as a photographer and I believe that this MUST be the reason why I now prefer to be behind the camera rather than in front.

We often had to stop playing and pose for the camera. Whether it’s sitting on a field with legs crossed, striking a pose next to some flowers or group photos with our friends. As kids, it was a tedious task and you can tell from our facial expressions, we did not approve nor did we enjoyed the process!

Not to mention the outfits we had to wear! I remember having some over-the-top floral and frilly dresses but it was worse for my two older sisters (who were closer in age) as they often have matching dresses!

I’ll end my rant with a photo of myself with a ridiculous comb-over hairdo that my mama gave me.

I am thankful for the memories and the endless photos! It documents my childhood and creates a lovely keepsake that I can pass on to my offsprings! Most importantly, I am certain that I would be just like my mum and I would be shooting constantly when I have kids!

Hope you enjoyed the photos! :)
