It’s those little surprises that make her eyes sparkle with delight when she’s out at play with her film camera. It was exactly that magical atmosphere that brought her here in LomoLand! And she’s with us this week to answer our five Newcomer questions!

Location: I’m from a city next to Lille in the north of France.
Camera Shelf: Actually, I mostly use my Canon T50, the one my dad used when he was younger. I am trying my new baby, an Agfa Silette-F and I am seriously thinking of taking photos again with my Diana F+ and the instant back.
How did you find out about the Community and who/what convinced you to join?
I knew about Lomography since 6 years now, but I have never heard about the Community until two weeks ago! I found it thanks to an article in Lomography France about a photographer whose I follow the work. Then I watched a lot of photos, and finally joined by curiosity and by wanting to be part of this big and sweet Community.
Is there anyone in the Lomographic Society you look up to? If yes, who is him/her and why
Since I’m in the Community I had a crush on the works of mavimavimavi, tall_bastard, scarecrowindisguise! But I must talk about Margot Gabel (mrgt.) She’s a 20 year-old French girl and thanks to her amazing work that I’m here now. It was her article in Lomography France that led me here!
As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?
More and more I feel my camera as an extension of my body. I like to have my camera everywhere, so if I see something I want to share or remember, I can take it in photo immediately. So, is it the rule 1, 2, or 3? It’s a kind of melting pot of the 10 rules.
In this digital age, why still film?
I think there’s a beauty in film that we’ll never have in digital. There is no cheating and when I learnt to develop black and white films in darkroom, there was a magic atmosphere around me and my eyes were full of stars. I can’t have that with digital.

This is the first Lomograph I put in favorites. I totally fell in love with this funny face and all the photos of those kids. We can feel the life in it, that’s what I love and search in photography.

It was a mistake and I had five photos with mistaking multiple exposures. But the surprise is huge!
