Sol Levy - Tobacconist Extraordinaire

Anybody who has walked through George Street in Sydney Australia will definitely know what Sol Levy is. For those of you who are fans of tobacco, read on after the jump!

This family-run fine-tobacco shop is right adjacent to Sydney’s Central train terminal. If you’re a smoker, you will love Sol Levy’s old-school tobacconist shop. They sell anything and everything that you can think of, including Zippo lighters, ashtrays, pipes, pipe cleaners, cigarette tins, and of course cigars, cigarettes and rolling ’baccy.

Sol Levy is a cigar maker by trade. He emigrated from what is modern day Poland to Australia in the late 1800s and established his shop (now known as Australia’s oldest tobacconist shop) at 715 George Street. It has become a family-run business with more than 120 years of history, serving generation of Australian cigar and pipe lovers.
