Spanish illustrator Fernando Vicente gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “seeing the world with a different eye” by painting different images over existing cartographs and maps.
With a bit of skillful visualization, Vicente manages to create an image that seamlessly blends in with the shape and form of the chosen map or cartograph.
The results exude an impressive form of balance as neither the map nor the overlaying image overpower each other, thus creating a completely unique and harmonious piece, just like a well-executed multiple-exposure photograph.
Pretty cool, huh? So, what do you guys think? Do you have any photographs that remind his artwork reminds you of? Perhaps some awesome multiple-exposure shots? Feel free to share them below!
