A few months ago, it was the first time I had ever tried and experienced film-swapping. I usually love it when I have more or less control over the shots, even with doubles. However, I was willing to try something new. ‘You never know, you may like it,’ I told myself. And I do not just like it, I LOVE IT.
So what was the secret to this experience? Well, undoubtedly the answer should be a great film-swap lomo-friend, luck, and coincidence. And emkei is just perfect, moreover, luck, and coincidences were our best friends during shooting those doubles. Would you like to see some of the photos and read about what really happened?
Here it is:
In the many objects we took photos of, we simply agreed on it without knowing about it ahead. For example, there were layers showing forms of transport (airplane, trains, and railroads), then layers of different flowers, shadows. We even almost met on one of the photos as shadows if I only took that photo one frame earlier. And of course, this was all done without knowing what the other film-swap partner was going to shoot. We agreed just on the type of films and the camera. Isn’t it fantastic? I guess that this is the right experience of luck, coincidence, and contingency.

I was surprised how much fun I had doing it and how carefree my shooting was. And you know the feeling when you cannot wait to see the results of your shoot…while waiting for the results of these doubles, even this sweet impatience was doubled, if not even tripled. So do not wait and swap films! You will spread lomo-fun and lomo-love. Thank you emkei for this great experience!

Very cool! I wish I was better at stopping that rewind before it's done so I can shoot doubles too!
