This movie is in theaters now and it definitely stole my heart. I have a feeling that everybody with a passion for an analogue way of living is going to love, love, love, this film! For all of you who haven't seen it yet, read on! (and please go see it afterwards!)
Moonrise Kingdom is a movie made by Wes Anderson and it tells the story of two young lovers who ran away from home (well one runs away from home and the other one flees from his scouting-camp). They try and hide while the others go out and search for them in the woods. I will not tell too much about the story yet but take a look at the beautiful setting and stills from this movie. Set in 1965, the whole movie breathes a certain analogue atmosphere. The pair is played by Kara Hayward (as Suzy) and Jared Gilman (as Sam) and they do a very good job next to some very well-known actors such as Bill Murray, Bruce Willis, and Tilda Swinton (and much more!)
Next to the very entertaining story, the look of the film is also amazing because everything is just right. The locations, outfits, and props. I would totally want to be that girl, carrying my cat around in a basket and dragging my LP player everywhere I go. Dance in my underwear and camp at the seaside. I would definitely take my Diana F+ with me if I could.
Wes Anderson is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer and has made several other movies including The Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tenenbaums, and the Fantastic Mr. Fox. He wrote the script of Moonrise Kingdom together with Roman Coppola (brother of Sofia – that whole family is amazingly talented when it comes to producing beautiful imagery). Now while I am typing this I am only wondering…how cool would it be if one of them could become a lomo-amigo and take a classic Diana F+ with telephoto lens with them during filming. Amazing.
If you’re still not convinced, watch this trailer and go see this movie as soon as possible!

One of hte best movies I've ever seen. Wes Anderson must be the most analogic style director. My favourite film is the Tenenbaums. I'll translate this in Spanish.
