My Fisheye Baby 110 and Me: WIl6ka

Wil6ka headed to Lake Balaton with his miniature companion the Fisheye Baby 110. There he discovered how up, close and personal you can really get with this tiny Lomographic wonder.

Hey Wil6ka!

1. What was it like using the Fisheye Baby 110 camera?

A little adventure! I was surprised that basically every shot turned out well. I guess after some years of usage your DNA as a Lomographer can be applied to any camera. This camera is as easy to use as eating a banana. In the beginning you barely believe the camera is so small, but it really works.

Because 110 film is so small and short you can advance it a lot more quickly than 120mm or 35mm. This is an advantage when you taking a lot of shots fast. Exchanging the cartridges is also much easier and quicker.

With the Fisheye Baby 110 you can approach photographic subjects from unknown angles. You can shoot through a fence, around a corner, from below and above. And the best part is it doesn’t take up much space in your bag. If you are lacking space in your luggage, the Fisheye Baby 110 is the camera for you.

2. Any strange or funny moments while using the camera?

I’ve realized that kids really react well to small cameras. Since it looks like a toy, it’s not a threat to them. For this reason, taking pictures of kids is super fun with the Fisheye Baby 110. When I took shots of a dog, it also didn’t disturb it too much, so it’s ideal for snapshots of animals too!

3. Among all your Fisheye Baby 110 snapshots, which one do you like best and why?

When I saw this tiny dog and I knew, that the Fisheye Baby and baby dog would make a match made in heaven!

4. If you could assign a song to your Fisheye 110 photos, what would it be?

Little Numbers by German band BOY

5. Can you share any tips for Fisheye Baby 110 users?

I find that the Fisheye Baby 110, when loaded with Orca, should be put against the sun as much as possible. The plastic lenses of Lomography Cameras really have a unique and smooth way of spreading all the rays of light onto the film.

The Fisheye Baby 110 Cameras are fully working miniature versions of the Fisheye No. 2 designed especially to fit 110 film. They capture the world in full circle and enable you to produce perfect Fisheye pictures. The Fisheye Baby 110s come with a bulb mode and are able to capture multiple exposures too. Load them with Lomography 110 Film dive into the long forgotten world of 110 photography! Head to the 110 Camera Microsite for more information.
