Intricate Paper Cut-Outs by Hina Aoyama

Give this amazing Japanese artist some paper and a pair of scissors and she'll be sure to create something unbelievably intricate and fragile. Take a look at some of her lovely cut-outs after the jump!

It’s amazing what Paris-based Japanese artist Hina Aoyama can create with paper, a pair of scissors, concentration, patience, and attention to detail: beautifully intricate and skillfully-cut masterpieces ranging from dainty butterflies to fine cursive text. However, they should be handled with care, as they could be easily destroyed with a crush of the hand. Let’s take a look at some of them:

Each fragile work of art takes her hours or sometimes months to make, but Aoyama says she finds the super meticulous process a fun way to relieve stress. On her creative process, the amazing artist says, "I don’t follow traditional, but I am trying to create a mixture of the traditional and modern styles and to produce my own world through this super fine, lacy-paper-cuttings technique.”
