We decided to celebrate our anniversary this year by going to Capri for a few days. What we did not expect is to have only one sunny day in that beautiful island, so the only thing we could do was make the most out of it!
We had everything ready, plane tickets, train tickets, even boat tickets, but what we were not prepared for was heavy rain in the gorgeous island. We stayed for four days and we only had one sunny day, but that one day was really cool. I took as much photos as I could as we enjoyed walking around the island.
Capri is a lovely island in the Mediterranean located on the south side of the Gulf of Naples in Italy. After having been there, I now understand why Lomography decided to name their La Sardina Beach Editions after this amazing island.
The island is like a big mountain with two main villages, Capri and Anacapri, which are located at the top of the mountain, and when you want to go to the beach, you have to take the winding roads to arrive to beaches like Marina Piccola and Marina Grande.
The beaches are really nice, they are not as sandy as you would think, but rather a bit rocky. It was surprising to see how comfortable it can be to sunbathe on a rocky beach.
On the other hand, the color of the ocean is amazing, the tones of blue is truly majestic. The water was really cold (it was April) but I still wanted to jump into that emerald beauty.
So if you’re planning your next summer vacations, have a look at Capri’s Tourism Board website and discover a beautiful place. I think the best part of this trip was we literally seized the day.
