Basking at the Beach: Peruvian Beach Shots

A few days ago, someone asked me: Does Lima have beaches? I said: Of course! We are on the beach and we love spending time hanging out with friends there surfing, eating ceviche, and drinking some beer!

Lima is a pretty special city. It has a big cultural mix from all regions of the country . It is located in the coast, and is one of few city capitals in the world on the beach.

If you ask me what we have in common? My answer is everybody loves the beach here. We love spending time hanging out with friends on the beach, and one of the most important activities is eating ceviche and drinking some beer. It’s quite simple and comfortable because there are many restaurants in front of the beach with a good ‘umbrella delivery service’.

And how about surfing? Do you have waves in Lima? Guess what? We have many good waves here. For beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers! But it’s not the only sport. Of course we have others like skimboarding, windsurfing, kayaking, rowing, etc.

Other people prefer spending time playing beach tennis, beach volley, or beach soccer while others prefer quite simple games like frisbee. Me and my friends prefer juggling or some acrobatics.

The important thing is that you have beaches for different tastes. We are on the beach and we love it!

When I first went to Peru, there was only one article about it in the locations section (mine was the second). I'm very happy to see that the lomography community in Peru is growing, I just wish I had meet you all when I was there! I love Peru, great country! Lomo on!
