Artists all over the world have been finding many different ways to use books for their artworks. A Colombian artist has come up with an interesting sculptural installation that may seem like a bibliophile's perfect abode. Read about it after the jump!
While artworks that involve cutting into books might make some bibliophiles cringe (okay, I admit I’m one of them!), Colombian artist Miler Lagos came up with an interesting installation late last year which bibliophiles may find fascinating. Set up at the MagnanMetz Gallery, the sculptural installation entitled “Home” was made using books that are carefully stacked to form a self-supporting dome.
I definitely find this an interesting artwork, not only because it’s simple, smart, and alludes to a bibliophile’s obsession with books (I know some people who can actually swim in all their books), but also since it’s a good idea for a reading nook or an eye-catching centerpiece for bookstores and libraries.

Wow, that was my dream as a child. And, contrary to many forms of contemporary art, it doesn't involve destroying or damaging objects. An excellent find, @plasticpopsicle thanks for sharing.
