Sun bathing all day, water activities everywhere, and party all night would just be an understatement for Boracay Island. A must-see, white-sand, tropical island near the heart of the Philippines, especially during the summer months.
Every quarter, me and my girlfriend/travel buddy see to it that we go out of town or go to the beach. More often than not, we head to the beach. We’ve been to a couple of beaches in Luzon and Vizayas (Northern and middle part of the Philippines) and Boracay is our second most visited beach. The place is perfect for couples, family, group of friends, and even for singles. You will never run out of activities to do, food to eat, beverages to drink, and sceneries and sights to take pictures of.
You will definitely enjoy the crystal clear waters of Boracay and its fine, white sand. You can sail around the island for only 90 – 120 minutes with a Parao or Paraw, ride an ATV with your partner or friends, go island hopping, make new friends on the island hopping tour, and be the captain of your own ship! And if you get tired, you can take a nap on the beach. Tired of sleeping? Raise your feet to the sky! You could also take some portrait shots and of course, take some wild Spinner 360 shots and get some attention!
You really won’t run out of things to do in this place that’s why it’s not only popular to Filipinos, but also to other nationalities. Recently, Taiwan and South Korea just opened up a direct flight from Taipei and/or Seoul straight to Kalibo International Airport. With that said, the ratio of Asians to Europeans/Americans in the island is really noticeable. I’m pretty sure the local government will do something about direct flights going to and from other neighboring countries.
What are you waiting for? Pack your things, put on some sunblock, load some films in your cameras, and go there! Thinking of going? My suggestion is…don’t think, just go.
