Amusement arcades are not what they used to be. Nowadays, it’s easy to go on the computer, use your iPad or your favorite game console to play games. There was a time when you only needed a few coins to have fun.
Gone are the days when we’d go to the amusement arcade to play PacMan or a pinball machine. Back in the 1960’s to the 1980’s, kids would visit amusement arcades with their families to have fun. Now, every gadget you can think of is within an arm’s reach. You don’t need to leave the couch to play video games since you can do it with a press of a button.
Now it’s time to go back to the good old days when amusement arcades were still rampant. Sometimes, it’s fun to go back to where it all started. These photos were taken at an amusement arcade in 1968 called ‘Wonderland: The World’s Finest Arcade’. The arcade was located in Kansas, Missouri and the photos show an interior shot (look at that fine car), and some interior shots, too. You can see pinball machines, photo booths, a shooting gallery, a Voice-o-Graph recording studio, and other cool games. Just think of all the fun people had while visiting this place. Pretty cool, right?
