Share to us your most memorable experience in the Lomographic Community.
In my hands I have the very great big book of the LC-A and after browsing a few pages, I saw ione of my photos printed on two pages! The irrefutable proof that I am a Lomographer! Oh, and every time I win a competition, you know, it’s not easy at all, even if take it for granted that you will be the winner, there is always someone with a better picture of yours. But when you make it .. Oh my! What a fantastic feeling!
Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends? If yes, name at least one of them.
A difficult question. I have a very high concept of friendship, and use this word in a context like that of the Internet leaves me a little doubtful. However, there are dozens of Lomographers I really like to meet. Some names? I can say mephisto19, vicuna, neja, artichekt, dakadev_pui, domyblue goonies or life_on_mars just to mention the first names that comes to my mind. I apologize to all the others I have not mentioned. I have 400 friends in my LomoHome and I really respect and love you all! Obviously we are talking about net meeting, however if we speak of physical meetings I must say that lately in my area, it is becoming a small beautiful community of new Lomographers. someone is already a big Lomo-star like weidong and his funny cat Ziggy or lomike and gibri or also drinkwater, I meet them often because they live in my own town or nearby.
Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next 5 years? Why?
Of course! Because it makes me feel so good!
What is your favorite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences while using this camera?
No doubt, the Lomo LC-A. Why? Because it has everything I need to make a good photograph. Every time I use it, it gives me a memorable experience.
Is there any advice you can give to new analogue shooters?
Yes, learn the rules and then break some. And be patient, good results have need of a little practice.
They are the ones whose passion transcends not only by what they do and say, but also with what they see and capture with their film cameras. And with such attributes aforementioned, they are what we call LomoGurus! Every week, we get to ask questions and reveal some insights with the most talented and productive of all Lomographers from the community!
