My lomo first love is the Diana Mini. I felt in love with her older sister, the Diana F+, but decided to get her because she’s much more petite and cute! Want to know how my romance started? Read on after the jump!
I was attracted to Lomography after watching a TV show introducing Lomography. That time, they introduced colorsplash and multilens camera that got me really interested to find out more. On May 2011, I decided to finally buy my first ever Lomography camera – Diana Mini!
At that time, I was anxiously and excited waiting for the package to arrive from Hong Kong. I dreamt of how the photos would look like with her being my photographic eye.
Finally, she arrived, and I loaded her with her first film, the Lomography X-Pro 100! The results? Stunningly beautiful! Although the lab messed up with part of the film, the photos are still gorgeous.
Later on I brought her everywhere and during my travel too! She traveled with me to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah; Gui Lin, China;Taipei, Taiwan and of course everywhere in Kuching!
The most satisfying feeling is when she’s brought out from the bag and everyone are attracted to her and some of my friends even fell in love and decided to get their own lomo lover too! I even brought her to outings and she made many new friends along the way!
I’m so glad she’s my best first lomo love and she taught me how to see the world differently – Square or half frame. She even showed me that without flash, I can still take wonderful night photos!
