The Lomography Questionnaire with Ira Giorgetti

This is the Lomography Questionnaire. Compare, contrast, draw inspiration from, and even shake your head in disagreement at the answers from our special guest contributors! Today, we're featuring photographer and cewebrity, Ira Giorgetti.

Italian-Filipino photographer Ira shoots analogue fashion and beauty portraits using his Nikon 35Ti and a Canon EOS 400D. “Photography is my life and my expression. I try to express beauty. I don’t believe in money or time. But it is a very interesting game. All of it. I see life as a game of perception.”

When he’s not behind the lens, you can find him in front of it, hamming it up for LookBook.nu. “Yes, I’m quite vain,” Ira admits. Find out more about this vampire in the daylight as he answers the Lomography Questionnaire.

1. Describe your first memory as if it were a still photograph.

First memory as a still photograph… interesting. It would be on 35mm classic Fujifilm, washed out greens and blues cause the Kodak place nearest our house processed it that way. Shallow focus, my mom had a wide-aperture analog camera at the time.

2. What’s one quality you wish you had?

I wish I was more patient, or whatever you call less brooding.

3. Who or what was the first thing you fell in love with?

My toy Batmobile. No, seriously.

4. What would you rid this world of in a heartbeat?

Fear.

Whatever year Game of Thrones goes on in.

6. If you could hang as a camera around anyone’s neck, who would that someone be?

Mario Testino.

7. Where’s your secret garden, where you can escape to?

The Tuscan countryside.

8. What famous person (dead or alive) would like to have a drink with?

That guy who shot all of those kids at Columbine.

9. If you could no longer see, what’s one image you’d like burned in your mind?

The sun in the middle of the sky.

10. Who’s your hero, in fiction or in real life?

Zhang Jigna. (No seriously, she’s amazing.)
