I have lot of self-portraits. Most of them are unpublished, hidden in my computer and hard-disks because after negatives are developed, I start looking at these self-portraits, thinking that they are not so good. But there are some that I let out of my computer and here's a little compilation of them.
When I see a mirror I usually start thinking if I should take a self-portrait. When a film is at its last frames I think I should take a self-portrait. I think of taking self-portraits almost anywhere, doing almost anything—driving, eating, dancing, in a concert, on an airplane, at the supermarket, inside the church. I also have a weakness for self-portrait when I smoke. The list is actually very long. But finally, after the negatives are developed and photos printed, I look at these photos and start thinking that I should have not taken a self-portrait. Then, then photos get out of sight of everyone, hidden in my computer, hard disks, and surely in my archive of negatives, sunken into oblivion.
But sometimes, here and there, when I look at some of these photographs it happens that I’m really happy with them, even if this happens quite rarely. So, I should stop talking and show you the gallery:
