Name: Michelle Kuek
LomoHome: wallflowersforjane
Occupation: Museum Professional
LomoAge (how long have you been into Lomography): 2 years

Hello! Tell us a bit about yourself.
Hi! I am a twenty-something girl who loves to travel, scribble and doodle in notebooks, laze afternoons away with either a book, a cup of coffee or my best friends, sometimes all at the same time.

How many Lomography cameras do you have in your collection?
I have 3! The Holga 135BC, Fisheye 2 and the LC-A+. Lots of potential to grow this little collection, don’t you think? :)

We’re sure it’s hard to pick one, but which Lomography camera is your all time favourite? And which camera is on your wishlist right now?
Without a doubt, the LC-A+! I love how this camera adapts to every weather situation and you never have to worry about not having enough light.

I think I would really like the Horizon Kompakt.. It would be perfect for travel photos.

Please share with us your top 3 favourite shots (taken by yourself of course) ever, and tell us a bit about each photo.

I was having dinner with my friend and we were snapping our food as all good Lomographers do. This shot was taken at the exact same time she used her flash and I love love love how it illuminated my plate of food!
This was taken at my friend’s wedding in Bali, for most of the ceremony it was hard to take pictures because I was stuck in the middle of the aisle. When it was the final moment, I just stuck my hand out and pressed the trigger, not knowing what I was going to get. The quintessential shot from the hip!
I love to travel but I also like to come back home. The best moment is always when I get that first glimpse of Singapore.

What do you like about the Lomography community?
I like how everyone is so friendly and has an insatiable thirst for knowledge of all things analogue!

As a Lomography Singapore Community Star, do you want to share any advice or tips for Lomographers out there?
Experiment with all sorts of films, both negatives and slides. It’s always fun to try a new film. When you find new films that works for you, everything becomes new and fresh again, and the inspiration is endless!

Also, read lots and lots of photography blogs for research and inspiration!
