I love secondhand stuff. My wardrobe contains mostly of clothes bought in flea market or in charity shops. I created my home in the same way. Almost everything in my flat isn't new. I like things with history and mystery.
I always recycle. Buying used things is also a way of recycling. It’s a lifestyle I chose. Buying a secondhand thing is much more exciting than buying it in a regular shop. At first you have to spend some time to “hunt down” the wanted object and if you find one, you can always try to bargain.
One of my favorite things is my collection of tableware. I love white plates with blue patterns. Sometimes it seems that food gets better when served in them. I picked them one by one in different places for different prices. They make me happy every time I eat.
One of the prettiest things I’ve managed to hunt down is a wooden music jewelry box. I always dreamed of having one. I keep my favorite jewelry in it.

One the most useful things I found is this rocking chair. I like to sit in it and read.

Among my favorites is a coffee pot I bought few years ago. I use it only for very special occasions. Usually it sits on the window sill and looks pretty. :)
Last autumn I was visiting Helsinki. One day I sailed to the island of Suomelinna. There is a tiny flea market there. I found there exactly the same chessboard as my grandmother used to have when I was a little girl. I bought it for 1 euro. Each time I see it, it reminds me of my granny and long summer evenings filled with excitement of the game.
