While this may sound as the quintessential digital-you-are-but-a-young-whippernsnapper post, it isn’t. I apologize if it comes across as such but this is more of something between a nostalgia kick and a call to arms.

Yes, we all know how awesome the graphics of videogames are nowadays, and heck, you can even play with your friends from overseas through the net. But as Lomographers, we all know and cherish the unmistakable feel and satisfaction of doing things old-school – in this case, table top gaming.

We’ve all played table top or simply, board games when we were young. Monopoly, Clue, Risk, and of course, Dungeons & Dragons, played a key role in making our past selves more sociable and analytical. The feeling of rolling dice, landing in jail, and collecting thousands of Monopoly money gives you an exhilarating feeling like no other. Or is discover that the culprit was Col. Mustard with the candlestick more to your liking?

So for the Year of Dragon, why don’t you and your childhood friends relive your adventuring days, and whip out your trusty pen & paper for an adventure that will last you a lifetime?

Game on!

Catan! You should try Arkham Horror if you can find a copy somewhere. It's a mend-bender.
