He can’t deny the fact that he totally surrenders to the charms of cross-processed slide films can give, but he also said he would choose monochrome over color photography – he must be contradicting himself by that statement, though.
Name: Fyodor Mel’nikov
Location: Moscow, Russian Federation
Weapon of Choice: Kodak Ektachrome 64t expired and crossed-processed
Why is this film your Weapon of Choice?
I had a great 30m coil of this film and I really miss it because I finished it a long time ago. This is a very unpredictable film. Each time it just shoots differently.
If you were asked if you would stick with black and white photography or colored photography, which one would you choose and why?
Ironically, I choose black and white film. It returns to the roots. Plus I love to develop the film by my myself!
It could be your favourite film emulsion, a cheap plastic toy camera or the most fun accessory you have and they are your Weapon of Choice! Want yours to be seen here next week?
