Analogue Sightings!

On my recent trip to the mall, I spotted a hot pink Fisheye 2 in the window of American Eagle Outfitters! It caught my attention and pulled me into the store.

Aside from the sparse supply of film at local drugstores and analogue cameras (such as generic Kodak and Fuji film along with simple plastic underwater cameras or disposable ones), I had never seen any store that carried Lomography products. However, I was pleasantly surprised that American Eagle Outfitters had a few up their sleeve.

I was walking around the store, browsing through the clothes and stumbled on a table with some Lomography products, such as the Fisheye 2, Lomography CN 400 film, the Diana Mini, and packs of Instax Mini Film to name a few. It also had a book packed with information about toy cameras that I’d never seen before, and I got to flipping through it. It had tidbits of information about toy/analogue cameras and tricks to try with them! It had almost all of the cameras in the Lomography Online Store including a few others that I had never heard of.

I also saw a few ads and other stores (such as Walmart and Long’s Drugs, for example) featuring the Fuji Instax Mini 7S and film. It was really cool seeing analogue love being spread, even if it was only in a few places. Stumbling upon this brightened my day. I’m sincerely hoping that Lomography will continue to make its way through our lives!

I was looking through US Weekly yesterday and saw a La Sardinia listed in thier article about good gifts to give people. Also just saw an episode of Family Guy where Meg goes on a trip and she has a Diana hanging around her neck.

I was just at that store last night. They had the film half price. I picked up some that 400 and Instax. There are at least two places I have seen Lomo Items for sale in Honolulu, both are camera shops.

@megs79 Haha that Family Guy episode sounds great.
@neanderthalis Oh awesome! So have I, there's one down in Kaimuki but that's the only film camera store that I know of on the island.

Ritz Camera in Ala Moana ground floor Diamondhead and Makai of food court. Sells a little film and some Lomo cameras sometimes. No Lomo but,try Lighthaus Camera too. King Street just before Market City Shopping Center (past Hawaiian Humane Society) Used cameras and has great cheap expired film and used filters.
