Newcomer of the Week: Tenille

More often than not, you'll always find her in the seashore everytime the weekend comes. Chasing the sun, walking in the sand and just having a very relaxing day while snapping away with her Lomo cameras!

How did you find out about the community and who/what convinced you to join?

My boyfriend Christian went to the United Kingdom and saw the Lomography store.

Is there anyone in the Lomographic Society you look up to?

I find a lot of inspiration on the website whom I can consider.

As you have read the 10 Golden Rules of Lomography, what rule do you apply in your everyday life?

To just take photos of everything and anything and snap away!

In this digital age, why still film?

Old school is the best and most fun! And the excitement of not knowing how the photos are going to come out.

Share your current favorite Lomograph (could be yours or a friend’s) and explain why it is your favorite

It’s just the perfect description for Durban – Beautiful weather plus the beaches are amazing. It’s such a relaxing environment and it’s exactly how i feel about Durban which I love very much. My boyfriend and I are literally on the beach every weekend (weather permitted of course) soaking up the sun. It’s my favourite place to be.

The Diana Mini is the ultra-compact, petite version of the Diana F+. This camera takes soft-focused, lo-fi images in 35mm and allows you to change between half-format and square shots with a flick of a switch. Get your own Diana Mini now!

The Oktomat serves up your subject in cleanly sliced 8 little frames. Envision yourself as a movie director with only 2.5 seconds to relate your micro-masterpiece. Get your own Oktomat now!

Fisheye No. 2 has a 170-degree wide angle view and stunning barrel distortion. Now with a hotshoe and multiple and long exposure capabilities, the world’s greatest compact Fisheye camera is now more amazing than you ever thought possible! Available in different colours and special designs.
