Acquiring a dog may be the only opportunity a human ever has to choose a relative. - Mordecai Siegal
When I saw that my LomoWall was completely occupied by my dog, I thought it was the moment to talk about him.
My father chose him when he was just a few days old, it was a surprise for my little brother. I was so excited, I really wanted a dog. When we went to the breeding center to bring him home, he was two months old. We walked in, the owner closed the door of his house and, smiling, opened the door of a room… And four little puppies ran out, drifting through the house (one of the cutest things I saw in my life). But Willie was the first one who came to me. He was not only the cutest dog of the 4 brothers, but also the happiest, the more extroverted, and the more joyful (his pedigree name is Indiana Jones…perfect, I think!). I had never seen him before, but I was perfectly sure he was the one.
He’s the protagonist of most of my photos! He loves being photographed. When I take my camera he just stops and starts looking at the horizon (wherever we are); like, he’s trying to say, “Hey look at me, I’m perfect, shoot now!” He loves the light of the coloured flashes (even thought it drives him a bit crazy…), and I love how he looks beautiful in pictures. He’s supposed to sleep on his bed, but I’m pretty sure that he sleeps on my legs instead…
He’s definitely pretty and athletic like his mother, “Spugna” (because of her rough coat), and his grandfather, “Zorro” (an “agility” champion), but he took the coat and the colours of his head from his father, “Diabolik”. If you throw him a ball, he brings it back to you, but if you throw him a stick, he can destroy it in a couple of seconds. He can jump very high, specially if he can bounce off on surfaces (like the guys do on parkour). He runs so fast, I can’t catch him (and neither can the camera!).
We travel by train about 4 times per month, and he likes it a lot. He started traveling by train since he was 3 months old…Good boy!
