Sean Connery was in my opinion the best Bond (though I have a soft spot for Roger Moore), acted in a lot of fine movies and kept his Scottish accent no matter what nationality he played.

Best Bond ever. Roger Moore was also a fine one. And Connary was the argue why I watched Highlander. What ever he did, he did well. Red October is one of the best movies he ever did, directly behind him as Bond and as Father of Indiana Jones.

Sean was my favorite Bond, but Roger Moore was in my favorite classic Bond movie - "For Your Eyes Only". I do like the new series better, however. Their just more realistic.
Zardoz was an interesting move. Y'all should see it if you have a chance.
