Name: Pasquale Caprile
Please tell us a little about yourself
I’ve been the Lomography ambassador of Spain for 14 years. During this time, I’ve managed to combine this position with my profession as an advertising photographer. I’ve always felt excited about photography and everything related to images.
How would you describe the LomoKino in 5 words?
Fascinating, creative, fun, exciting and amazing.
What’s your favorite feature of the LomoKino and why?
I think the idea of making analogue movies is very interesting. I find it fascinating to be able to compress a whole story in a roll of 35mm Film – Just 36 Exposures and 144 frames.
What LomoKino movie would you most like to shoot?
I like to shoot on the street. And I love making movies of people that I casually run into.
If you could give the LomoKino to one other Director, who would it be?
Do you have any advice for LomoKino newcomers?
Yes, for close-ups I suggest to give some margin at the top of the frame – The viewer is not completely accurate so allow for this if you don’t want to cut people’s faces off!
A 36 exposure film allows you to shoot 144 frames, so I usually take shots of 25 frames, this means that my movies commonly have 6 different shots which make them more harmonious.
This camera it’s not suitable for people who use their left eye because the handle hits your nose. An important fact to consider!!!
Bringing analogue back to the movies with a bang in the 21st century, the LomoKino is a Lomography movie camera that shoots spectacular, creative movies on all kinds of 35mm film. Head to the Microsite, watch some Movies and begin your analogue movie-making journey today!
