Why did you choose the prophecy you chose? What does this prophecy mean to you?
Our prophecy is prophecy number 3. It was very easy for us to choose it!
We love to experiment… To build with our hands. Take stuff and turn it into other things ;).
We took things we like: music, noise, plastic, toys, prophecies, lomography and two minds…everything is analog for us; took them all and experimented with that. Prophecy number 3 was our destiny, really.
And for that:
- Expect is “esperar”. It´s hope, anticipation, look for, wait, think, stay…is dream!
- Unexpected is “Inesperado”. It´s a real surprise, not expect…is our creed.
- Excitement is “Emoción”. It´s emotion, a feeling, tension, suspense…is our life.
- Experiment is “Experimento”. It´s taste, try, imagine, touch, a chance for mistake…It´s the best reason for be a lomographer!
For all these… we are lomographers, manufacturers (“fabricantes”) and analogue lovers!
Why did you choose to represent it as you did?
Because our lomophilosophy is pure experimentation. It´s the reason why lomography is lomo.
We look for different results, we don´t always make the same things. And because of that, we used something we love, like cameras and toys and we tried to give it other function.
Can you make a photo of a sound? Can you hear a noise and imagine a photo? Can you remember a sound through a lomo? YES! We created the LOMOPHONY. It´s another prophecy for us, another Lomo philosophy. It´s recycle, build, rebuild, remake, to take old cameras and give them a new life. Give sounds to lomo-photography, noise to lomographic moments, a completely analogue Audio-Camera.
The real purpose of our Project is the experimentation, the expect, unexpect and excitement! ;)
What do you think would be a good 11th Prophecy?
It´s simple. Lomography is carnal, visceral, product of the moment, spontaneous…It´s imagination, joy and surprise. And this is summarized in Carnival, in Canary Islands. Weeks of fun where people design a costume, build structures and new worlds, want to be someone else, use their imagination to enjoy and act. This is Action!. Colors walk the streets, plastic objects fly, noise and music sounds high and wigs dance…
