Have you ever wanted to hug your mum and whispered into her ears a simple "thank you". I do but I lack the courage to do so. So this post is especially dedicated to my mum.
Mother’s day is just around the corner but I am a 17 hours flight away from home. I still remembered my mum shedding tears as I walked towards the departure gate at Changi Airport. I wanted to turn around and give her a hug but I did not want her to see me crying.
My family does not celebrate Mother’s Day back home but I want to tell her how much I love her. So this is for her.
My mum loves taking photographs. She can never understand my passion for lomography but she does not stop me from loving it. She always shakes her head whenever she finds a parcel in the mailbox. She knows right away that her daughter must have bought a new camera and/or films online again.
Surprising she was all ready and excited to post for me one day when I told her I had to finish shooting this self doubles project. She was looking for perfect photo taking spots and blamed me for not telling her earlier so that she could dress up better for the photos.
I guess the first thing I am going to do when I get back home is to hug my mum and tell her thank you. Learn to be appreciative of what our parents have done for us and start to love them more everyday.
