My Father's Trips: Rome 1971

In an old box, I found several negatives, with some fungus and in bad condition ... but with the most beautiful memories of one of the many trips of my father.

One day reviewing some old boxes at home, I found some old b&w negatives, it had some fungus, I washed them and began the scanning process.

I found a nice surprise, the first negative scanned, was from a trip when my father was a seaman in 1971, on June to be precise , in this travel he have visited most of Europe, and these negatives were from Rome.

I was surprised by the beautiful compositions he did and also the exposure he got. I ‘ve checked the negative and it was a Agfapan, I haven’t too much more information about the iso, and as my parents told me, was taken with a Konica camera, they lost it, and they didn’t remember the model.

I was so proud of those pictures and to know from where my love for trying to make beautiful pictures came.

These negatives are a treasure to me, one of the heritage in live that I ’ve asked (as well as old vinyl at home) there still some negatives to discover, and also some 1982 snapshots.

What I like most is that I had not even thought born yet, or rather, they didn’t think to have a baby, but I am who enjoy more than anyone being able to see how Europe was 3 decades ago.
