2010 was one mean female dog on my wallet. Double that with passing on the love of analogue photography to my daughter meant even less lomography for me. But I made a mean mark, anyway!
I shot and killed 2010.
Oh, 2010, I despise you and won’t even honor you with a proper burial. I was poor as dirt this year, the main reason for my lamenting. If I can’t shoot and develop a roll of film at least once a week, I honestly get depressed. If there is one day that passes that I know I haven’t taken an image I will love, I lay in bed at night and dream up what I will do the next time I can afford film…. sigh…
This is a happy story, too. Especially happy for my daughter @loloswan who this year discovered the joys of lomography. While I am so very proud, especially at this 11 year old’s natural talent, her habit has made mine even harder to finance. It is worth it, though. She even won a rumble, “playground love” with this photo – from her 2ND ROLL OF FILM EVER!

Despite the slim pickings of my lomographic harvest this year, if I do say so myself, I came up with some mighty fine examples of pure lomoliciousness. (Mostly pictures of my daughter…)
So, little miss loloswan got a fisheye for Christmas to start the year off right, about five cameras on her birthday in May to further attack my wallet in a back alley, but we have found a very special bond through photography, just like I had with my dad…

Aside from spending all my hard earned and won piggies on my daughter instead of getting to keep them for myself, I have found a little time for big kid fun….
So here is hoping for a more prosperous 2011 where I can afford to enable everyone’s Lomo addictions…. I love you loloswan. Welcome to Lomography… <3
