What happens when a photo by Henri Cartier-Bresson gets uploaded anonymously to a Flickr group for some feedback?
“When everything is blurred you cannot convey the motion of the bicyclist. On the other hand, if the bicyclist is not the subject – what was?” and “It’s just very awful”
“grey, blurry, small, odd crop”
“bit too blurred to be worth a save from me”
Man, those grey-ish black and white photos. Via Jason Kottke. Read these and more comments on Flickr.
What do you think?

ahahaaahahahahaahha. i LOVE this shot! but i know that some people just don't understand the importance of "imperfection". (the same shot without blur might would be plain boring)

Art is very subjective and can't be judge by any rules or guidelines. It is something human express themselves from inside to outside. I think they just a bunch of wannabes who follow everything on the books.

one of the best photos ever! an early masterpiece of street photography. I had an opportunity to buy a print about 20 years ago at what then was an affordable price. i passed on it because of the frown my ex-wife made and regret it every time I see it
