The saying, "Grandfathers are just antique little boys." relates to my grandpa more than anything else. I can't help but take his picture, my camera seems to be drawn to him on a regular basis. The face I get on the other side of the lens is always a pleasant surprise.

John C. McKinney
88 years old

My granddaddy is like most grandparents his age – grumpy, hard to please, and somewhat ornery. But his smile and sense of humor can still light up a room. He was behind the lens of almost all our family videos, and took most of the pictures hanging on our walls. He gave me my first video camera and always let me be the photographer at family functions. I soon became his go to guy and because of him, I love photography. He has given me priceless memories and many life lessons I will never forget. I now live with him here in Arizona and am still learning more and more each day. His love for life and family continues to amaze me; it would be great to go back in time and see where it all started. He inspires me in everyway and I can only hope to be as cool as him when I’m 88.

good shot. My parents are both in their 80s, but they don't feel very much like to be taken picures of . I often offer to them but mostly got refused. Too bad....
