Fisheye Rumble in the Pond Chapter 55: Lomographers Speak Out!

Creative individuals talk about their love for Lomography and of course, the Fisheye!

David Cubberly
26, music composer
Urbana, Illinois, USA

David Cubberly, officially a weird avant-garde composer, is finished with school for good now. He is currently unemployed, but is occasionally a freelance photographer & web designer. I have about 5 loves in my life: music, photography, Australia, my family, and my beautiful and lovely girlfriend Petra.

Favorite Fisheye feature: 170 degrees of WIDE ANGLE! Ever since I saw the first Fisheye shot years ago, I knew I had to be involved. That idea of ‘wideness’ has permeated through my photography even before I owned a true Fisheye. Give me edge distortion, show me the world around the subject, and I’m happy!
Expert technique: Long exposure with flash! Perfect for night shots, or pictures of bands – something I absolutely love doing!
Lomography? Sorry if this is used by a different company: Just Do It. Lomography means forgetting about everything that you’ve ever learned or felt about photography, art, & life – and just simply ‘creating’. It’s a lovely way to live and it usually bleeds over into other parts of your creative (and non-creative) life.
Message: Um…. is this thing on? Nope, nothing more to say. Let the photos say it all.
