Fisheye Rumble in the Pond Chapter 37: Meeting # 6: Lazy John and His Lomographic Friends

Origins: Oranda Shishigashira // Long exposure

John used to be a tough businessfish: career orientated, high-strung, and 24/7 in the biz. One day, as he was swimming home late at night from another exhausting meeting with the jellyfish-mafia, he decided to quit it all and lead a life of calmness and contemplation…“I’ve changed my life completely. I quit my job, and exchanged my stiff goldfish business suit for a cozy pair of leggings. Since that day, I’ve been as cool as a sea-cucumber! What’s the use of rushing about anyway? You’ll get orange-pale scales, your body-color will become dull and dreary, and your pelvic fin will never swing the same way again. After all that stress and grind, I devoted myself to the transcendental meditation of Master Maharishi Mahesh Yogi! Something amazing happened to me yesterday.

As I was meditating and gazing at an anemone for hours – the thing suddenly began to glow and revealed fabulous and divine colors all around itself. Friends, do you realize that it was the anemones aura that I saw? It’s the first step to enlightenment! Now it won’t take much longer until I’m fully enlightened and fly up to goldfish-paradise – where flake food flows in rivers and crab cocktails hang from the trees. Hooray!”
