While shooting in under bright light conditions like on a sunny afternoon you´ll get countless pictures that may look nice and colorful but bad light can be good light when it comes to uniqueness. Nevertheless, when shooting in bright sunlight, 400 ISO supports short shutter times for moving motives and extra bold colors.
The Superia produces sharp and glossy images. While some other 400 ISO films get grainy and washed out, this film is a real winner. I love this film for indoor shots preferably with artificial light. With this you´ll get nice and rich greens or oranges. The 400 iso makes it possible to shoot out of the hand without using a tripod most of the time.
While most of the ISO 400 films disappointed me the Superia really shines.
Special Tip for you Lomographers in Germany: The drugstore with the big red “R” sells a trade brand 400 ISO Film; I´m 99% sure that film is a Superia 400. I can´t tell the difference, when you can or have the same experience, drop me a line.
