Fuji Sensia (35 mm, 400 iso) User-Review
written by rater on August 28th, 2009 , 5 comments (2 votes)

I have shot half a dozen Sensia 400 since the beginning of 2009, which makes it one of my most preferred films. I guess the reason is because with a 400 ISO you can shoot in a wide variety of light conditions even if you have limited settings on your camera’s shutter speed. So this makes it my most versatile film! My LC-A loves this film and my Horizon gets nice results from it as well.

Colours in the film are nice, although it cannot compete with the strong and contrast colours of Velvia. Grain when processed correctly is small for this kind of fast film, but when I went wild and cross processed it, I got a bigger grain (you can recognize the xpro shots by its grain). And the effects of it are a bit random, frames that are next to another got different colours, although they were shot with the same light… mysteries of the processing chemistry!

I definitely would recommend this film due to its versatility!

Take it when it’s sunny,
Take it when it rains!
Your photos will look yummy,
With no big grains!
