Some time ago, I found a little, lonely roll of Velvia sitting around in a photographic supply store in the centre of my city, I asked the nice shop-lady how much it cost and took it home with me, it was a 35mm roll of expired Fuji Velvia.
At first I wanted to shoot it with my LCA+ (yay!) BUT unfortunately, the slowest speed it shoots is 100 iso and this particular film was 50 iso (awww), so I got my mom´s old Minolta SLR (which can shoot @ 50 iso) and started shooting with it and so the journey of this little roll of Velvia had begun: I used it to shoot the Day of the Dead, some family pictures, macro experiments, abandoned fair games and arts projects, and in the end I took it to Costco for cross processing.
When I got my photos back the crazy colour and contrast shifts was there but to my surprise, the photos were GREEN (well, greenish with a smudge of blue or maybe blueish with a bit of green?), I had read and heard that Velvia, when cross processed, gives you RED tones so the green was unexpected, but not disappointing, specially after shooting several rolls of Fuji Sensia that came out reddish.
I was very happy with the results and I really recommend it to everyone! The contrast you get from cross processing this film is outstanding, I was really happy with the bizarre photos I took, this is a pretty good film for cross processing if you want some strange yet cool results.
